Welcome to the home of the Big Dave C.
These pages will give you an insight into how the brain of this mysterious creature works. A very small insight. People who have know the Big Dave C for 3 decades have had less of an insight than you, lucky viewer.
The Big Dave C's brain has a tendency to wander all over the world of creativity, stop for a while, pick up a little knowledge and understanding and then drop it all and shove off somewhere else. It doesn't sit still for long (unlike the Big Dave C himself).
He has ventured into the lands of singing, comedy, art, computer graphics and even video production. The only thing that has remained constant with all of these visits is the amount of cheese that the Big Dave C has managed to inject. And, believe me, it's a lorra lorra cheese.
The quickest way to gain any insight of the current state of the BDC's brain is to check out the blog. There you will find news of his recent adventures, thoughts and other such rubbish.
We hope you enjoy your stay.

The Worm That Turned (Out Quite Well)
More fun with Blender! I’ve made a worm. It was in response (as so many of my little projects are) to a question over on the Blender Underground Forums. It took me about an hour to model this little chap and a couple of hours to sort out the funky little animation. Hope you all like [...]

Danté the Ant progress report
Things are going great with Danté. I’ve still got to rig his arms/hands and do a decent face rig. And some small repairs. But he’s looking good: From 3D Gallery

Bobbing, Spinning Box
Having not done much with the Blender fluid simulator in an awful long time, and out of curiosity which had been raised by a question, I’ve done this little animation. Made in Blender 2.49b.

Trying out Suicidator City Generator script in Blender
Just recently discovered this script that generates, very easily I might add, whole cities. Big, little, detailed, simple. Very configurable. I gave it a quick go and decided to go for a drive through it. The script can be found at this website. Made with Blender 2.49b

Making Faces
Here’s how I’m doing with my practice at making faces in Blender. I started with some photos I found on the ‘net. You can see those in a previous entry. But now I’ve moved on to a self portrait and modelling the faces of friends. And I can honestly say, the more I do, the [...]

Making head ways.
I’m really enjoying making 3D head models at the moment. After the whole edge-loop thing clicked in my mind, it just became a lot easier to do. This WIP is a model of one of my fellow Blender Underground members. All made with Blender. Step One In Step One, I’ve modelled the whole face but still need [...]

Snowy Enfield Photographs
It’s been a very snowy January here in Enfield (just north of London, UK). I drive past this park on my school run every day and keep seeing the bandstand with snow on the roof. Today, before the snow disappeared, I decided to get some pictures. I’m quite proud of them. Won’t you have a look?

A face, textured, animated, hairy.
Made entirely with Blender. The skin has SSS. The hair is partical hair. The eyes have refraction through the cornea. Everything could be better but I like it. A face, textured And it looks REALLY weird animated:

My 3D Self-Portrait Trophy
Now that I’ve got to grips with face modeling in Blender, I thought I deserved a trophy. So, I took a couple of pictures of me, modeled my face and created this trophy. Yay, me! 3D Self-Portrait Trophy

Changing faces
Over the years I have tried, on occasion, to model a realistic face. I’ve had varying degrees of success leading up to this, my first decent face model. All the loops are right. All the proportions are right. Well, as far as I can tell, they’re right. This is what it looks like: A face And here’s what [...]
