Made as part of a challenge on the Blender Underground forums, this is a saw made from wood. A wood saw, if you will. The challenge was to create an image from a plank. Just the one plank was supplied which is why they all look exactly the same.
Blender really does have a very powerful particle system. This coffee cup was made by adding a ‘hair’ particle system and having each particle rendered as a coffee bean. I got the idea from someone’s avatar on YouTube so it’s not an original idea but, I think you’ll agree, quite a good one.
Made these today in a fit of wondering what to do today. I used the latest build of Blender (latest builds available on Graphicall.org). Do have a little look-see, won’t you?

Well, within the space of 12 hours, it’s had THREE HUNDRED views. I’m astonished and very pleased. On a side note, I discovered by entering the search term “triquetra wallpaper” at deviant art that my own triquetra wallpaper is the most popular in views and downloads by about a quarter of mile! Go me!
